Political speeches: democracy in the era of #fake news
Former British Ambassador Charles Crawford, CMG, delivered a lively presentation on the challenge of political speeches in an era of rapidly multiplying media organisations — conventional, insurgent and/or downright dishonest.
Examples from famous leaders such as Trump, Obama, Cameron etc. was used in the presentation.
Ambassador Crawford was British Ambassador to Poland, his other ambassador postings were in Serbia and Bosnia and Hercegovina.
He currently advises politicians and CEOs on delivering powerful speeches and presentations. He won a prestigious Cicero Award in 2016 for a speech he prepared for Sir John Sawers, forme Chief of MI6. We are delighted he will share his insights on the topic.
Anyone engaged in leadership or the media or those who want to improve communication skills should make plans to attend.
His book, “Speeches for leaders, leaving audiences wanting more”, was available at the event.
