Panel discussion on the 2019 EP elections - VIDEO
14/08/2019
Videos
For maybe the first time, voters in Europe were mobilized by European (and global) issues, rather than domestic politics. Topics as migration and climate change have drawn voters in large numbers.

The result is a European Parliament in which old coalitions and alliances will have to be reconsidered.  For a post-election analysis, Danube Institute invited experts with various backgrounds:

Mark Higgie, retired Ambassador of Australia (both to Hungary and the EU)
Borisz Kálnoky (TBC), Correspondent of Die Welt, and regular contributor to Die Presse, Weltwoche and Deutsche Welle
Eszter Petronella Soós, political scientist, Milton Friedman University
Lasse Skytt, journalist, Denmark
