After the Elections: What Next for Ukraine?/Ukrajna az elnökválasztás után: Hogyan tovább?
12/04/2019
Past Events
What can we expect after the April 21 presidential election? Mire számíthatunk az április 21-i elnökválasztás után?
Ukraine is still Europe's biggest crisis.  In the second round of elections, on April 21 Ukrainians did not renew their confidence in Petro Poroshenko - he lost in a landslide.  Can President Elect Volodymyr Zelenskiy, a showman and outsider, deliver on his promise to bring about radical change in the country? What are the national and international implications of the election outcome? How can it influence the war in the Donbass, Ukraine's geopolitical orientation, or bilateral relations with Hungary?

Kurt Volker, US special representative for Ukraine negotiations, along with Zsolt Németh, chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian National Assembly and László Brenzovics, MP in the Ukrainian Parliament and president of the Subcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Association, as well as Kálmán Mizsei, former head of mission at the European Union Advisory Mission on Civilian Security Sector Reform in Ukraine and Damon Wilson, Executive Vice President of the US Atlantic Council will try to answer the questions.

The event is in English and Hungarian with simultaneous translation.  A rendezvényen magyar-angol szinkrontolmácsolást biztosítunk.
